Aires Carvalho 50 year scroll
At our September Meeting and Ladies Night we were pleased to have as our guests for the evening Philip Carvalho and Tanya Potter. Philip, son of Aires, was there to receive the scroll on behalf of his father from Acting President Tony Fisher. Aires reached his milestone 50th anniversary on 10th July as a West Surrey Catenian but he has for some time now been resident in a Care Home in Frimley and we have been unable to present him with his scroll. We were very pleased therefore that Philip was able to attend to receive the scroll.

After the presentation Philip gave a moving tribute to his father recalling his life and times as a family man, a highly qualified medical practitioner and a Catenian. After Philip’s speech stories from the floor followed from Brothers telling fond and amusing remembrances of Aires.
